* Reminder from Dr. Tsai:

Vascular cognitive impairment could be suspected in subjects suffering cognitive decline after symptomatic stroke, or in demented patients who have multiple vascular risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia. These patients sometimes need antithrombotic medication, such as aspirin, to prevent the occurrence of recurrent stroke. More importantly, strict vascular risk factor controls including well management of hypertension, cholesterol and blood sugar are encouraged. We also strongly suggest smoking cessation and regular exercise.
