Depressive and anxiety disorders have become more prevalent in modern society due to the fast pace of life. Other than developing more adequate stress coping strategies, seeking medical advice is also recommended if the depressed or anxious mood becomes chronic and affects the quality of life. Combining pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions based on clinical evaluation from psychiatrists may prevent further deterioration in mood burden and daily function impairment.
