Epilepsy is one of the most prevalent neurological diseases. In the past few years, the development of diagnostic tools, including EEG monitoring, brain image, and genetic diagnosis, have improved the understanding of the disease. The development of antiseizure medications have also been promising, with various mechanisms of action. Moreover, resective and non-resective epilepsy surgeries have improved success of the seizure control. Overall, the management of epilepsy is prosperous in modern era.
