With advances in prenatal ultrasound, major structural anomalies are able to be identified in utero. Genomic medicine has emerged as a prenatal diagnostic tool in genetic evaluation of anomalous fetuses, and in carrier screening of pregnant women and parents-to-be. As perinatologists, we wish to help the women assess and manage their pregnancies to ensure the best outcomes.
