Infancy is the first stage of human life. Just like how every individual is unique in their own temperament, every infant’s arrival time to the world also differs--some arrive late and some are eager to arrive early. It is our commitment as medical professionals to help every child be fully prepared for an exciting life journey ahead, even though the days in hospital are merely a short and transitional period. Time with family is for life, but it can often be challenging and exhausting for parents with newborns, especially when caring for preterm babies.
