Pain, numbness, soreness, tightness sensation may be induced by diseases of muscusloskeletal system and peripheral nerves. Ultrasonography helps identify structural abnormalities such as inflammation, effusion, swelling, tear, and calcification, etc. Dynamic examination also helps confirm impingement, subluxation, and snapping, etc. As for treatment, precise injection to the target lesion can be achieved under ultrasonography-guidance, thus reducing medication dosage and preventing unintended injury to neurovascular structures. It provides an alternative treatment option in addition to oral medication, conventional rehabilitation and surgery.
