Taiwan shares one of the highest prevalence of myopia all over the world, with about 20% of myopia enrolled in primary school and 90% of myopia in high school. The vision problems of schoolchildren in Taiwan have always been valued by the National Health Department and the Ministry of Education, and it is also a difficult problem for ophthalmologists across the country to confront for a long time. In addition to the efforts of the health and education units, the role of parents themselves is also critical. Parents need to have a correct understanding of the disease and implement the correct vision care concepts into the lives of school children from an early age.
