Varicocele is a condition which dilated veins were discovered within the scrotum and it is a common cause of male infertility. It usually affects young males and causes soreness or pain at left side scrotum and inguinal area. If discovered at teenage age, urology clinic visit is strongly recommended. Varicocele can have negative impact on development of testicles and cause deterioration of sperm amount and motility.
If the size of ipsilateral testicle is decreased or have detrimental effect on sperm quality, varicocelectomy should be discussed with urology specialist and further treatment should be started as soon as possible.
